today i bought a dress that whisks me to the greek islands of santorini to twirl.

what i learned today: denim orginated in france.

but why is it the most universally worn clothing article? why is it so popular and why is it blue?

conscious that no place is home...

:( always between the gaps. passports, blood, birthplace, or current city can truly classify home. so i don't think my promise land is here.

hail to the stars

last night I saw orion, cassiopeia, and the big dipper all on the same sky plain, a rare observed occasion in a city of neon and chrome. magnificant!

at the end of the day in the beginning of a decade

new years resolutions:

1.) drink water every morning after waking up

2.) read all the cauldecott award books

3.) memorize "the crossing of the bar" by tennyson

4.) and of course: make more time for jesus

5.) use complete sentences in my journal

6.) blog more? :D

I learned today that first by declaring making resolutions and by declaring them makes them ten times more likely that we might keep it. we'll see.
